A quick check should stay a quick check.
Understand the difference between session limits and daily app limits, and choose a boundary that fits your day.
Two kinds of time limits answer two different questions. Neither needs to be complicated.
Daily limits: your total budget
A daily limit sets a budget for the day. It helps you decide how much total time you want to give an app. You might spend that budget in a single visit or across several visits.
Session limits: a finish line for each visit
A session limit sets a boundary for an individual visit. With Scroll Patrol, you choose how long your scrolling sessions can last. For example, a one-minute limit means the selected app is blocked when that session reaches one minute.
Which should you start with?
If your problem is “I meant to check one thing, and stayed,” try a session limit. If your goal is managing your total daily usage, review your overall screen time too. A short visit can still add up when you repeat it all day.
Keep the useful parts of your phone
You don’t have to treat every app the same. Choose the apps that pull you into a feed, and leave your useful tools out of that selection. Start small, watch how it feels, and adjust your boundaries.
