SCROLL PATROL

Privacy policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

Scroll Patrol does not require a personal account. We do not use analytics or advertising tools in the app.

1. Who we are

Scroll Patrol is operated by Mental Martial Arts LLC, a company organized in Texas. This policy covers the Scroll Patrol iPhone app and the backend services used for Live Activities.

2. Information we handle

Screen Time selections: Your selected apps and categories are processed on your iPhone through Apple’s Screen Time APIs so Scroll Patrol can apply the limits you choose. We do not send your selected-app list, browsing history, or app content to our backend.

Live Activity records: When Live Activities are used, our backend stores a unique installation ID (also shown in the app as your support code), a hash of the installation secret, Apple push tokens, session IDs, session start and end times, delivery status, and related timestamps or retry/channel status. These technical records let us start, update, and end Live Activities for the right installation. The support code is an identifier, not a password or control token.

Network and diagnostics: Our API receives your IP address and basic request information. We use the IP address for short-lived rate limiting and abuse prevention. Application request logs record the request ID, method, path, and response status; they are not configured to record request bodies.

Messages to support: If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and information you choose to include, such as your support code.

Subscriptions: Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts, subscription status, and anonymous app identifiers and device information to support subscription management. We do not receive your full payment card number.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide Scroll Patrol, enforce your on-device Screen Time settings, deliver and end Live Activities, confirm subscription access, protect the service from abuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support or privacy requests.

4. Service providers and sharing

Apple provides the iOS Screen Time, push notification, Live Activity, and App Store purchase services. RevenueCat supports subscription receipt and entitlement handling. Replit hosts our API and backend database used for Live Activity records. Proton Mail processes messages sent to our privacy contact email.

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share it with advertising or analytics services. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights.

5. Retention and deletion requests

Our backend currently has no automatic expiry schedule for Live Activity device and session records. Technical records may remain after a session ends until they are manually removed.

To request access to or deletion of backend Live Activity records, email us and include the support code shown in the app. We use it to locate records for that installation and handle the request manually. If you continue using Live Activities, the app may create new technical records.

A request to us does not delete Screen Time settings stored on your iPhone or records held independently by Apple or RevenueCat. Contact those providers about information they control.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

You can change or clear your Screen Time selections in Scroll Patrol. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of information we hold, and to appeal certain decisions. Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act when it applies. Email us to make a request. We may ask for the support code to identify the relevant installation; it does not authenticate or control your device.

7. Cookies and tracking

Scroll Patrol is an iPhone app and does not use browser cookies, advertising identifiers, or analytics and ad-tracking tools.

8. Security

Requests between the app and our API use HTTPS. The installation secret is protected on the iPhone and stored on our backend as a hash; push tokens are stored only to provide Live Activity delivery. We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

Scroll Patrol is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address the request.

10. International processing

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Scroll Patrol or its data practices change. We will update the date below and provide notice through the app or another method when required by law.
